If History Repeats Its Self (Part 2)

This is a continuation of using the past 3 Olympic Games and the prior World Championships to predict the London podium.  In this part, I'm going to predict the All Around podium.
Tianjin 1999
Gold-Maria Olaru (ROU)
Silver-Viktoria Karpenko (UKR)
Bronze-Elena Zamolodchikova
Sydney 2000
Gold-Simona Amanar (Andreaa Raducan was stripped of her gold after testing positive for an illegal substance) (ROU)
Silver-Maria Olaru (Original Bronze medalist) (ROU)
Bronze-Liu Xuan (CHN)
Anaheim 2003
Gold-Svetlana Khorkina (RUS)
Silver-Carly Patterson (USA)
Bronze-Zhang Nan (CHN)
Athens 2004
Gold-Carly Patterson (USA)
Silver-Svetlana Khorkina (RUS)
Bronze-Zhang Nan (CHN)
Stuttgart 2007
Gold-Shawn Johnson (USA)
Silver-Steliana Nistor (ROU)
Bronze-Jade Barbosa (BRA) and Vanessa Ferrari (ITA)
Beijing 2008
Gold-Nastia Liukin (USA)
Silver-Shawn Johnson (USA)
Bronze-Yang Yilin (CHN)
Tokyo 2011
Gold-Jordyn Wieber (USA)
Silver-Viktoria Komova (RUS)
Bronze-Yao Jinnan (CHN)
Using these results, based on history its safe to predict that the top three will place..
Jordyn Wieber-Silver
Viktoria Komova- 7th
Yao Jinnan--8th
It is unlikely that the second and third ranked gymnasts will fall this drastically in the standings, but with new seniors that are capable of doing great in the all around and how unpredictable gymnastics is, anything can happen.
Look tomorrow for the next part, vault and bars!
Thanks:)
Allie
